Help needed for 350 SB drop
I have a 1984 Cutlass supreme and I want to drop a 350 SB in it. Money isn’t an issue I just need to know exactly everything I need to perfectly do this the best way possible. From wiring harnesses to the motor mounts to how the starter should be set, any help is appreciated thanks!

Hi, welcome to the site. I have a 1987 cutlass.that had a V8 307. The 350 fits right in. Did not use any of the computer. Just get a good running 1968 to 1972 SBO. If you rebuild the engine for more power, upgrade to at least an GM 10-bolt 8.5-inch. And add body stiffeners. High powered V8 will twist the frame and body. Save the accessory brackets from both engines if V8

Sorry! Most on here want to keep our cars all oldsmobile. Olds 350 would just a bolt-in, pretty much. Not sure about the transmission. I would not think it would hold up to any 350. I think yours is a Buick V6 and a three speed transmission. I know little about them.

I understand it’s going to require more work but I want to know exactly what that work is gonna be. I mean no disrespect to the community, it’s on this thread for a reason.

You need to treat it like a Monte Carlo and get the Chevy engine mount frame brackets that bolt to the cross member. You'll need a transmission that has the Chevy bell housing bolt pattern. The rest is fairly straight straight forward, starter wiring needs to be moved, new fuel line from the pump, sender wires moved around, hoses, etc... Depending on transmission used you may need a drive shaft and some e-brake cables.

The trans is either a TH200C or TH250C, if stock and both weak. A Buick 350 is a completely direct swap, everything swaps over. Either a sbc or Olds 350 will need accessory brackets and frame mounts, along with wiring changes to work. The Olds 350 is a great motor. I bought my 88 because it was factory Olds 307 powered, super easy to swap in other Olds V8's, very rare in Canada.
