LS or SBC Swap into 62 Skylark.
This is my first post and its not even an Olds question, plus I'm putting the "wrong engine in it" what nerve.
OK guys I have a 62 Skylark (Y Body) similar to the Olds. I want to put a stroker 383 or LS into it.
Does anyone have experience with this? Its going to be a lot of work, cutting but I want to try. Any advice would be great.

LS power,,, super reliable, great power potential if ya want more, doesn't fill the garage with gas fumes when running,,,, Something else to think about, if its an "only special occasion" driver, the LS is great in that it runs good even after sitting long periods of time. Seems the carburetor/Point ignition systems run better when being used consistently. Obviously its your choice what you want between the frame rails so if you don't mind messing with carb/ignition tune ups ect, go with the old school power.
