LS2/4L65e Swap

I am doing this swap in my 1964 Cutlass. I am putting everything in a new frame and then swapping the body. The 65e looks fatter than the 4L60's that I have used in the past. Am I going to have problems clearing the floor pan?

Is the 64 floor pan the same (or at least similar) to the Chevelle? Might find some info from those guys. I think the pre-68 tunnels were smaller than later, right?

what oil pan are you using? The mounts look good. The only issue you might have is with the inner tie rods hitting the oil pan. You should probably mock up the steering box, drag link, center link and inner tie rods before you go much further even if you don't assemble the rest of the suspension.

302-1 pan, I found the plates on ebay. The pedestals are 1965 Chevelle. I have the steering linkage from the donor car.

If I had my alternator bracket the engine would be wired. I cut the Fiteck harness and took out one hundred feet of wire. The tranny cleared with a small amount of hammer work, mostly for the dipstick. I am trying to make it to Tenn. in July.
