1963 BUICK 4 SPEED Transmission 63 BORG WARNER T-10
#3
I remember rebuilding the T-10 in my 60 Impala (several times) many years ago. The toughest part was getting the tailshaft on that contained the reverse gear. The speedometer drive gear made it tough. That was back in 1964-65.

I have taken apart and put some muncies back together.
BORG Warner on the other hand , I have not messed with. If it does not sell I will figure out how to get it assembled. Parts are wrapped in newspaper dated year 2000.
The stuff has been sitting around WAY too long
Keep the Shiny Side UP

None of that you tube Fix'er Quick stuff for me.
I will get a real book with pages in it if I dig into the Borg Warner
There is another BORG 4 speed T-10 and boxes of T10 parts all over my world now.
Looks like about 2 and a half transmissions counting the BUICK Stuff

A couple of things - Buicks used a High Nickel content gear set with 2.20 first gear. ID by 2 rings on input shaft.
Also for Buick (I do not have experience with other brands T-10) the input shaft bearing retainer has a smaller diamerter throw out bearing than Muncie so that
sleeve is smaller dia for Buick. I've had to get the Muncie ones machined down to work with the Buick TO bearing.

the more I dig through the parts the more I find that the guy who had them tagged the parts by which car he removed them from.
NOT the car they started out on or where they came from. I found more boxes of parts marked T-10 and Also DAN , a guy who is a 4 speed "specialist". Plan to haul all the BORG Warner parts to him one of these days.
I guess he is in HAWAII for a week or two. So waiting at least that to do anything more with T10 stuff from my end.
If someone comes along in the mean time with the CASH I will sell the stuff
