FS 1968 GM Bucket Seats, Passenger Reclining No Longer Available
Seats are No Longer Available
I have a pair of '68 Buckets pulled from a '68 Riviera.
The bucket seats themselves are the same for A, B, C or E body '68s, its the seat track that is different.
Consider these as cores, they will need a full cleanup and all new material (padding cushions, fabric, etc); the seatbacks & skirts are usable for a driver car.
One headrest has 1 rod that is loose.
They are rusty, but functional; I removed the recliner "cylinder", cleaned it and it is working. The passenger side seat back release is sticky - you can release the back but it won't reset.
I had bought these to put in my '71 VC but decided to go with a Strato Bench. My plan was to strip them down, de-rust the frames in a Electrolysis bath and rebuild them.
I can ship, I'd ship each in a separate box.
$500 plus shipping.

A few years ago, I had a set of seats shipped through greyhound. If I remember correctly, they were not even in a box. The price was very reasonable. That was probably 7 years ago, so I am not sure what the price would be now. 600 is very reasonable for these as the 68 headrests (mainly the mounting hardware) are rare as well.

Thanks Tom, good to know.
Boxing these up is not a problem as I have large/sturdy boxes and foam, so Greyhound could be an option. I have heard that their tracking is poor.
I'm not sure if Fastenal will ship items that are boxed but not on a skid, I'll have to check.
