1948 Power Steering '98
Good afternoon!
I am going absolutely insane trying to find a replacement for this power steering pump of my 1948 98. I know it's a Saginaw, but that's it. Whatever numbers stamped on the other side are unreadable. Does anyone happen to know where I would find a replacement for this?
Thank you for any help provided!!

First thing you have to do is figure out what year and car brand that PS setup came from, because PS wasn't even on Oldsmobile's 1948 option list. It wasn't offered until 1952, so it pretty much has to be from a later Olds or Cadillac. Possibly a Buick since appears you still have the straight eight.
Suggest contacting Lares Corporation www.larescorp.com or Power Steering Services Inc chip@powersteering.com
Both have excellent reputations and are familiar with older cars.

The pump you have in there most likely can be rebuilt as rocketraider said. From what i can tell it looks like a mid fifties GM pump. Check with Fusick for a replacement or parts. Just curious how is it powered, by it's own belt and pulley or off the fan belt with only a single belt and pully?...Tedd
