1965 forest green metallic = SAAB No 230 ?
Hi i repainted one fenderskirt and the paint shop used a spectrophotometer gun
to get the right colour match and this showded SAAB Scarabee Green No 230.
The car should have been repainted in US before but i,m not 100% sure if the paint is
original Forest green metallic or the SAAB colour are a match to the original paint.

It doesn't matter, as long as the paint matches. I recently did some collision repair on a 1950 Chevy that was painted in the 90's with a 90-something GM color, the customer could not remember. I had it color scanned, and it came up as a 2000 something Hyundai color (I don't think they were even in the US at the time!) It was almost a perfect match, all I had to do was put a few drops of another color in it. Paints are just made up of mixes of pigments and binder. Sometimes the formulas are similar for different makes and models.
