Primer question

I have an old outboard motor (57 Johnson) that I’m repainting, the paint I bought is a rattle can acrylic enamel, what primer is best for this type of paint?

did you ever get an answer for this? If not I knowceastwood makes a high temp engine primer that is a genuine two part epoxy in a spray can I have used this epoxy regular not high temp for smaller pieces pulleys and what not nice product
