The engine was removed from it's original 69 Cutlass S body, the car was built in Ca. and lived all it's life in the Los Angeles area until it was parked in the either 88 or 89, we found it earlier this year and were able to turn the engine by hand so we changed the oil and filter and it cranked over, but our intention was never to use this engine cause we have another one that is fresh going in, we don't care about matching#s we got the car for the body it was rust free California car.
The engine has the original points distributor, coil, exhaust manifolds, flywheel, intake and carb and BTW it's a 2V, but the good thingis that the #5 heads are the same for the 4V (W-31 NOT included) the 2 and 4V heads had the same CC and valve size.
I do not know a lot of history on the engine but I can tell you that it was not High Performanced in any way since it has all the factory non perrformance stuff still on it.
We know the previous owner bought it in 1977 before that we do not know, but the guy we bought it from was an old guy in his 80s, I do not think he did any racing with it since the car looked like an old man owned it.
I think that is all I can say about it but if you have any ?s you can
Call 757 672-3711 night 619 522-3231 day.
Thanks
