1970-72 Oldsmobile 442 Rochester Emissions Vapor Canister

1970-72 Rochester Gas Vapor Canister w/Housing #7028131 These are used originals removed from a '71 or '72 442 over 20 years ago. The housing is in great condition but missing it's original screw. The canister is also in great condition but missing it's base filter. I've previously listed the canister and the housing for $80. **I can locate a correct NOS AC base filter for this canister for $25. If you'd like to buy the canister, the housing and an NOS AC base filter for your project car I can take $100 and will pay half the shipping costs to the lower 48 states only. PM me with any questions. Thanks.

Can you pull out the filter and see if the charcoal is spilling out of the inner bag?

His, since removing the old filter at the base months ago there is NO charcoal spilling out anywhere. I have located the new AC NOS (part #A454C) base filter and is included with the new price above. Also included are new filters like you see in photo #5 . I can included three of them at no charge. I have found a replacement screw for the housing. If you are interested just PM me and we can discus. Thanks.

Do you meant one of these? (see attached)

Do they just go in and have the small funnel end point down?

Is that what the original was supposed to do and over the years folks have just replaced them with the small filter pads?

Yes, I have exactly the one like you have in the photo still in it's original AC box. I'm not quite sure if there were two filters installed together (one being inside the charcoal canister and one inside the base filter cap).
