Hey Rick, I'm gonna text you about this piece as to how it mounts and where in a '71/'72 to see if I can use it.

Rick, I would like to get this from ya, but as mine sits, it won’t fit due to the dealer installed radiator overflow tank bracket. I have to figure something out to be able to do this with minimal violence to that area.

Joe - I believe you have only a puke overflow bucket since there is no return line for siphoning coolant back into the radiator. Most (Many) vehicles of these years had the overflow rubber tube clipped to the side of the radiator. Is your overflow puke tank really "doing anything"? Just something to consider.

Yes, it is actually setup to siphon back into the rad. I have a siphon tube immersed in coolant in the tank. The cap is a wiper fluid cap with a tube that is cut to length to reach the bottom of the tank.

I think I may be able to move the overflow tank bracket a little away from the center of the hole that the canister sits and make just enough room for the bracket. If I could get a measurement from the center of the canister mount out to the edge of it, I could make a measurement here to see if I have enough room.

OK. Since this is a Parts For Sale thread - I think I'll bow out so Rick can sell it. Good luck!
