"Almost NOS" 1963-65 4-Blade Radiator Fan

If you are interested in the fan or have any questions, please email me at herbslegacy(AT)sbcglobal(DOT)net. I am located in the Kansas City area.

I have one 587253 4-blade radiator cooling fan for sale. This fan was found many years ago with a number of other components in a bin at an Oldsmobile dealership parts department. After determining all of the applications for the parts, I surmise that they were taken off of a car that was having air conditioning installed.

The paper tag in the photos was wired to the fan when we found it.

This fan is listed in the Oldsmobile parts catalog as fitting the following models:

  • 1965 F-85 with 442 option except air conditioning or special cooling.
  • 1963-64 Super 88 except air conditioning.
  • 1963-65 Dynamic 88, 98 and Starfire except air conditioning.
  • 1964-65 Jetstar I except air conditioning.
  • 1965 Delta 88 except air conditioning.
I do have other photos of the fan for your inspection. Just email me a request for them.

The fan is in very good condition. If it weren't for the witness marks where the bolts were tightened down, it could pass for NOS. There are some minor scratches present, plus some minor surface rust on the rivet heads. There are no dings, dents or bends present. There are no signs of any prior reconditioning. It is a very presentable and usable fan which might not need a refinish before installing. My price is $75.00, plus shipping and optional insurance.

In addition to the fan, I have the following parts from the same donor vehicle that did not have air conditioning. Please let me know if you have any interest in them:
  • 382169 crankshaft pulley
  • 382417 water pump pulley
  • 382787 generator support bracket

The Fan Blade is Sold - The Other Parts Are Still Available

Hairy Olds, thank you for a great transaction on the fan blade. I hope that you are pleased with it. If anyone is interested, I still have the two pulleys and the generator bracket.
