Parting 1966 Toronado

OK, I've had three people ask for parts from this car so I rolled it around in front of the garage and am going to gradually dismantle it. The car is mostly complete, turquoise both paint and interior, motor turns over by hand but tags expired 15+ years ago. Wrong carb on it, 425 with B heads, engine has California emissions setup. Rust around front and back windshields so the interior has water damage. Power seats and windows, column is not tilt/tele. Car is located in South Western Oregon, contact me with any items you may need. If someone is close enough I'll sell it as is once I pull the parts I've commited to. John

Stubbe, sorry but I've already sold the compressor and brackets.

Run to Rund, I'll send you a PM

wikkonado, I'll do some brainstorming on shipping, I think it will cost more to ship than the purchase price if your very far away.

Yea I figured... I'll have to measure the dimensions and see if I can fit some late model seats in there.

Tony, this motor didn't have a good flexplate but I've got one from another engine. Previous owner used a 455 flexplate and drilled out the offset hole egg shaped. I'll get pictures for you of a good one. The engine has been rebuilt sometime in its life, but I'm not sure the bearings are good enough to reuse. If you want to look them over your welcome to them.

oldsrocket88, I'm working on the list of parts you sent me. Hope to have photos and prices to you today.

MN71W30, are you needing just the short shaft between the differential and passengerside CV joint? If you've something else in mind let me know.

BIGT82, if you'll let me know which items you still need I'll try and round them up this weekend.

goldwing1978, I already have someone expressing interest on this trunk lid, but I've got one or two more. I'll come up with some photos for you this weekend. How about creating a parts wanted thread for those humgous fenders? Maybe someone else on this board is close to your location and has extras?

Sorry guys, my boss has had me on the hampster wheel running like crazy I hope work slows down in the next week or two. Bob, I've got someone else interested in the complete headlight assembly, but I'll get pictures of the wiring for you. Also, I noticed a pair of 1966 actuators on ebay, used but price was right. I don't remember the details but you might check them out. John

If you do not get the other guy to buy the complete headlamp assembly's I still would like to get the actuators. I checked ebay for the actuators you mentioned, did not find them under 66 toronado or headlamp actuator's, could you send me the listing number PM. Looking forward to the harness pictures, hopefully someone did not butcher the wires. Bob.

No on the dash controls. Its a water control valve located on the back on the engine that helps control the temp. when heater is on

Hi Russ
I do still have the Toro and the rear axle is still there. It will likely be next weekend before I'd have time to pull a hub, but I'll try to get that done. I'll also post some pictures so you can evaluate the condition. John

Hummm, looks like I goofed Russ. I pulled the hubs thinking that's what you needed, but didn't pull the spindles. Well here's a few pictures in case you want some of the other items for spare parts. I'll pull the spindles tomorrow afternoon. John

ForestMist66 yes the booster is available. I don't know if the diaphram is good but I will remove it from the car and see if it holds vacuum. John
