Unidentified Object...It will be an unidentified flying object into the scrap metal barrel if no one's interested in it. I believe it bolts to the firewall and holds a switch of some sort? But I cannot remember what I took it off of, or why I even saved it.

If you know what it is and think you need it make me an offer, if not Im tossin it.

I was thinking 66-67 inside on the firewall and the plastic piece held the insulation in place? Maybe it held the Switch Pitch th400 switch? IDK?

The screws on a 66-67 throttle assembly aren't in that pattern. Couldn't tell you what it is.

Got a feeling that soon it will turn into the UFO WTony promised us.....we're not getting much action on this. WTony, Maybe we just need to be blunt. I'm going to start a new thread and ask 'What is this Part" and link it to this thread. Maybe you'll get some better replies before you chuck it.

I think we've all been in the same boat. I have a bunch of relays in a box that I should have done that with too. Some are in GM boxes, so that helps. Others are for PW,PS, rear defog on glass etc. I 'thought' I would just remember.....D'ohhh

I found this throttle cable in my shop yesterday...... The shape of the mounting base and the hole pattern appear to be the same as what is shown in your photo (granted, the photo could be a little deceiving).....

Sad part is......... Like many of you....... I can't remember exactly what vehicle it was removed from...... I can say definitely not a 66/67 since I have one of each and those are mechanical linkage not cable..... I believe I also have the gas pedal it attaches to since they were both in the same box.... If I have a chance this weekend, I'll see if there is any way to identify the cable or pedal and maybe narrow down the search......

I had it in a box of parts that had some cruise control pieces in it. Im wondering if it has something to do with that? The car the cruise pieces came from was a 70 Delta.

The 66 6 cylinder F85 used a cable accelerator.
