1972 Cutlass fender emblem

I was doing some body work this weekend and found out the horrible PO of my Cutlass had JB welded the passenger side "Cutlass" emblem on due to 2 of the studs being broken off. Needless to say I had to bust the damn thing off the fender. So does anyone out there have a spare 1972 Cutlass emblem? It doesn't have to be anything fancy, just something to put back on the fender. I would need it shipped to Baltimore, Maryland. Just dropped in an envelope, again, not looking for perfection. Anyone....???

I probably do, but it's in a box of emblems so I'd need you to post a picture of the correct one for me to recognize it!

Yeah I guess a picture would help! Here is the one I actually got off o.k. According to Fusick, it is the Cutlass/Supreme fender emblem for 1971-1977. It seems to be just like the decklid emblem, just bigger. If anyone has one laying around, let me know how much you want for it, with shipping to zip 21236. Thanks guys!

I just saw pics of your car on another thread. The body looks awesome , Is it original , gaps all look great to. Up here in MN everything has rust .
Why not get it sprayed professionally ? Even just find some body guy to do it in a garage cheap. I would think that buying all the rattle cans would add up in price also. Love the car.

Thanks Mjaks! It's nice starting to have people compliment the car, even though it looks like Halloween. I miss strangers coming up to me asking about my car. My first car right out of highschool way back in 2000 was a 1972 Monte Carlo. It was a big old teal metallic boat that got so many loos everywhere it went. I guess I am an attention hog when it comes to stuff like that. I just loved when people would come up asking questions about it. Hopefully the Cutlass will get there, eventually! Anyway the gaps on it arent too bad. Like I told you before, the biggest issue is the front drivers fender. The whole "tab" on the underside that bolts to the frame is gone, so securing it is impossible. Even if I bang it into place, it will sometimes pop out which makes it rub against the door when I open it. But I am still going to look into the patches to see about fixing it the best i can. After all the sanding I did on it I have found that it seems like every panel was replaced on it at sometime, even the quarters look like they have been completely replaced at sometime. With the exception of the drivers fender, the pass. floor pan which is swiss cheese and some pinholes along the rocker panels, there is no major rust in it. I don't think there is ANYTHING original to this car! But I kind of like that because if it were something like an all number matching W-30, I would be too afraid to even touch it. I am currently doing some metal work on the hood and cowl, trying to get those straightened out, but unforunatly I don't have any buddies that would spray it. I would love to do it myself but my neighbors would kill me. So for right now I just got a case of Rustoleum on sale at home depot for about $30 bucks, I have about 5/8ths of the car covered now and I haven't even used half the cans. The stuff coats pretty well. But I am just trying to seal it up the best I can until I can afford a real paintjob. Hopefully soon!
