W30 "OLDSMOBILE 455" intake

I am looking to buy or trade for an early 1970 W30 intake. I have a two W30 intakes but they read OLDS 455. One is dated 12-9-69 and the other is 8-12-70. both are in excelent condition but my car has an earlier date code and to be correct I need the earlier "OLSDMOBILE 455" intake.

Let me know what you have.

Thanks

The mold for the W-455 intake was broke, sometime in late 1969.That is why the later 1970 intakes, with the 70 casting number, only have the partial word OLDS,not OLDSMOBILE.They kept the partial word OLDS for 71-72 with a different casting number,so technically, there are 3 different 70-72 W30 intakes. When was your 70 W30 built?

Thanks for the info 507OLDS. To answer your question, my W30 was built 10/69. It is mostly complete but I want to make it correct.

442Harv what is the condition of the intake you want to sell? Any cracks are all the numbers and dates legible? Is it blasted and ready to put on an engine? Where are you located? Willing to trade for a later dated intake?

Thanks

W30

The manifold is blasted and cleaned. Been setting around in wrap and box, for about 10 years, so not just blasted. No cracks that I can see. Never had it on a car. I live in nor Cal, Bay Area. Not real interested in trading, as my car is early also. You could probablyl sell yours than buy mine if interested. If you want more info, or want to talk to me, I'm leaving for the Grand Canyon early tomorrow, so if you post something, and I don't respond, that is why. Will be home late monday, or tuesday, the lattest.
