Aluminum rods

I recently dropped a valve (#8 exhaust). The head lodged itself through the top of the piston. Upon, disassembly, I found that the head also dented the little end of the rod. I thought I was done.

I was on the verge of sending it, but a little voice was skeptical. The pin moves freely in the bore. I called BME today, talked to Bill, and emailed him a picture. He told me not to get too excited about it, knock the sharp edges off and send it. Damn, i love hotrodding, sometimes!!!
These were bought used off epay many moons ago. Trimble had them in a motor, and I've used them twice, now. BME 426 series for the win.

Honestly, I'm not sure. It was spring bind or a failed rocker, not the valve breaking. It dropped.

Polished the ridges up with a green cookie

I know of a customer that has a perfect set of replacement cp bullet pistons for you (7 of them). His builder sent one into the piston as well. That kool aid you guys apparently are drinking seems to be getting kinda expensive.

You have spent your whole life being fat, drunk and stupid. With all of the uneducated video`s you`ve been making, I`d say you have OD on the kool aid., It must be nice having nothing to do all day long.

I'm sure he's seen a huge boost in sales since "saving" this 496.

I know for a fact that another one of his customers pulled a job out of his ex wife's garage and took it to another Olds guru.
