Gen 1 Edelbrocks, ported but someone was in them before so…..
My 1.6 Rockers
My 5 main Halo
AEM Infinity ECU, Wilson 4 hole throttle body, Holley Dual Sync Dist. No ignition box, single coil, never a misfire to 6000+rpm
91 octane pump gas

Wow!

Is it the Infinity 3? I was eyeballing them yesterday as a winter upgrade.

You're talking about the 308 or 358 I’m guessing?
If so then no, this is a 508, different box. But I’ve used a few of the 308’s as well. Basically the same software but the 308 has a coil driver built in and has throttle body injector mode. I use the 508’s cuz I grabbed a bunch of their universal core harnesses before they discontinued them. 308 is only offered in a flying lead harness, good if you’re handy with wiring, not exactly my forte.

Real nice numbers! Mark. What is your thought's on the Wilson 4 hole throttle body. What model? No spacer?

Dyno sheet? Please

Fortunately, I am. You hiring? 🤪

I didn't get into the details, but I figured 3<5=base model....

They’re a nice piece, nearly 1300cfm.
But we’re using it mainly cuz of its low profile. This is going in a late 70’s TA, no hood clearance, hence no spacers.

That's a good size roller cam and it all fits under a stock valve cover ? Interesting.

The size of the rollercam actually has very little to nothing to do with fitting everything under a stock height valve cover. It’s the rocker and stud combination that helps get that done.

I have some interest in doing some 3 series AEM stuff in the future. I’ll keep you in mind. I’ve even thought about making a harness to adapt the 3 series Infinity to some of the more popular TBI units out there. Sure would be better than what they have now!!

That's exactly what I'm talking about. The only thing I'd have to add is the MAP.
I can confidently say their tuner suite is light years ahead of this turd I'm playing with.

Well said.
In addition I’d like to reiterate that there was no Ign box used on this. I have one on my Dyno but this ran just your basic single canister style coil with no misfires to 6200. You can see it up on the overhang right next to the ECU. Not sure why you guys waste your money on those things on virtually ANY street build unless you really need a rev limiter or spark retard. They’re just another thing to fail.

RPM intake? Who did the EFI modifications?

Did you use a solid main 403 from the Buick wagons?

So, is the distributor firing the coil directly or triggering the ecu, first?

Looks like it will be a fun street engine.
Congrats!

What were the head flow numbers on this one?

On the cam, what is the lobe sep and Intake center line installed?

What intake is this, and did you do the work to install the injector bungs and rails?

How much vacuum does this one pull at idle?

Nice numbers
Do you have any pictures of your 5 main support halo.
I can't speak for new style of ignition systems but the MSD 6 AL was worth a tenth and made the engine run clean on the street and strip.

ECU is controlling timing so in that scenario the dist signals the ECU, then the ECU fires the coil.

Thanks!
RPM intake, mods we’re done by Wilson, Champion and me.
Cam is on a 110lsa in at 107.
Heads flowed around 285@.550-.600 but went backwards at a pretty good clip above that. Somebody actually lowered the floor and took part of what little short turn there is away.
Idles at about 850 and roughly 55-60kpa.

I might but I’ll have to look.
And I’d bet a better/stronger coil may have given the same results. The multi sparks quit at 3000rpm anyway so I don’t see the benefit vs the rate of failure.
Jmo.

You’re a funny guy!! Actually got it from a Chevy wagon, and it’s solid, except for the holes in it.😉

We first ran a just a super coil and then added a MSD 6AL the tenth was all MSD 6AL. The original 6AL lasted over 20 years, I can't speak of today's boxes but the old boxes lasted.
I know there are a lot of complaints about the new generation of boxes I had one of there coils fail after 11 months. There are other brands like Ice, Daytona sensors might be worth a look.

I imagine you are thrilled with this build. What year T/A? What trans and rear gears are going behind it?👍
