69 Cutlass with late 70's motor rebuild?

Looking for a little advice/insight. Just found out (by reading past posts) the block in my '69 Cutlass is from a late 70's Olds. Needs head work, cam and lifters, - basically a major overhaul. Only making a weekend cruiser, not a show or race car out of this one, is this engine worth the time and money to rebuild?

Block number is 557752 B3 with 3a heads.

This group has been awesome with advice on my 67, looking to hear what you have to say on this one.

Thanks!!

If it still has the original oil fill tube, the first number should be the year of the engine.
I'm not sure of the 3A heads. Some body here would know.

That would be a "late" 350, 77-80. This is the worst 350 to start with and if I were you I would find an older running engine to build.
