changing fuel lines

Hello I was wondering if changing fuel lines in a 1969 cutlass would have a return line if I put a 4 bbl carb and a different intake?

Welcome to CO.
After changing the fuel pump I eliminated the return line and it runs fine, no problems.

I would always prefer to have a return line, especially with the cat pi$$ that passes for gasoline today. The purpose of the return line is to circulate extra fuel back to the tank to keep it cool, helping to avoid percolation. The ethanol in today's gas is more prone to percolation. You don't NEED the return line, but you really want it.
