Olds motor mounts on a frame setup for SBC
I am considering using a 69 350 Olds motor in an antique truck frame currently setup for SBC. So, which block mounted motor mounts, BOP or SBC would work best to fit the SBC frame mounts?
Or do I need to replace the SBC frame mounts with Olds/BOP type?
Any help appreciated.

The late 70's Olds 403 Trans Am motor mounts should work and are available new. I used a set on 94 chebby Z71 1/2 ton to put an Olds 350 in place of a blown sbc 350. Good luck 👍

yep, can confirm. Make sure you use/get the flat bar that goes behind the block mount. They bolt right to the "clamshell" GM mount. You can even get polyurethane upgrade over the regular rubber.

The 403 T/A mounts will only work if the truck is set up to use the later model "clamshell" style rubber mounts where the rubber is on the frame mount and the metal bracket is on the block. If that's not what you have, then they won't work.

Those will not work with the F-body brackets. The problem is that the Chevy motor mount location on the sides of the block do not match up with the Olds mount locations. You MIGHT be able to make a strap from bar stock that bolts to the three motor mount bolt holes on the sides of the Olds block and allows you to vary the location of the Olds rubber motor mount fore/aft to match up with these. This could get you close enough to use those tabs, but the width may still be a problem.

I'll add that those frame brackets are designed to accept a motor mount that looks something like this. Your best bet would be to fabricate a version of these for an Olds motor.

Those last mounts Joe showed should work with spacers and maybe drilling new mount holes. It is ironic how many Dearborn parts are close enough to work on the Olds V8. Even the F body mounts on the 94 chebby I converted needed spacers on one side. Make it happen!

This is why I use an inexpensive Ford oil pump priming tool instead of the "Olds" tool at 3x the cost. And let's not forget the "Dearborn" toploader three speed or the O.A.I. parts on my H/O that still have a Ford logo on them.

The block/motor I am considering installing is a 69 350, Isn't the motor mount half that bolts to the block attached with 2 bolts not 3?
Are we talking about different year blocks other than 69 and different bolt patterns?

The first photo I posted with three bolts are the CHEVY mounts that are similar to the ones those frame brackets are designed to accommodate. That was only intended to be an example. That's why I pointed out in the second photo that the Ford brackets are closer. No one makes them for Olds motors.
