1966 Rear Cowl Removal

Hi everyone!

Just picked up a 1966 Toro from a Copart auction that fortunately happens to be in pretty good shape but has sat for too long and not in the prettiest condition. I'm trying to remove the rear cowl between the trunk and rear window but can't seem to remove it. After getting the screws out it feels like it's attached underneath the bottom rear window trim but I'm not for sure and don't want to remove all the window trim if I don't need to. None of my searches came up with anything and the service manual only mentions the front cowl. Any pointers?

Appreciated in advance,
- Frederick

I think I have one of those panels loose. Its been too many years since I pulled it so I can't say for sure how it mounts. But I can take some pictures of it so we can see any mounting tabs or fastener holes for you to check.

No worries, but if you ever do have a chance it would be a big help. It's this panel just to confirm

Sorry Frederick, You has to remove the full rear window trim and possible the rear window also. At the bottom of the window, under the glue, you´ll find four more screws.

Ah, that's disappointing. Thanks Alvis. At least last night after getting the package tray out I find I could access under the vent to clean out all the built up debris so I should be able to postpone pulling out the rear cowl until I can get her painted.
