I’ve never painted brake drums.
Not to be a doubting Thomas, but with the heating/cooling + expansion & contraction brake drums go through, can paint be expected to stick?Must be special high-temperature paint…
Count me in the ignorant group. How well does paint stick over the long term?
I’m all for aesthetics, but if it’s just going to flake off after a few drives, I’d leave them cast iron/aluminum or whatever - a.k.a. natural
Cheers
Chris

This is what I copied from Eastwood website :
We recommend cleaning part with our PRE Painting Prep (10041Z) to remove oils and contaminates. Spray Gray can be applied directly to bare metal surfaces. For better durability, prime with our Self Etching Primer (16014Z) Aerosol, or (16009ZP) Quart. If the metal is rusty, use Eastwood Rust Encapsulator (16060Z) Aerosol. Use these products in a well ventilated area, or use a respirator.
