Jacking points on '69 Toronado?

I bought a Quick Jack, and when I position it under my '69 Toro, it seems like it's very front heavy and is not stable on the jacks. I have the jacks placed under the frame rail that runs alongside the rocker panels of the car. Even with the Quick Jack placed as far as it can go towards the front, it is still very front heavy and unstable. What are the best points to lift the car with?

That Quick Jack is not designed to lift a car like an early Toro. The heavy 455 and TH425 trans probably puts 70% of the weigh on the front wheels.

Yep. I tried it several different ways, and it's not going to work.

I don't understand this......you're lifting the car using the same jack points as normal. When the quick jack settles on the locks, it should be the same as if you had 4x jack stands under those points. Using 4x jack stands, 70% of the weight is still going to be over the front wheels.

Correct. Another reason to use jack stands, IMO is the ability to modify the stance (weight distribution) of the vehicle while on jack stands. You can easily go up one or two "clicks" on the front or go down one or two "clicks" on the rear to create perhaps a more stable weight distribution.
