Parting out 1969 Toronado

Straight body, minor surface rust, sat in a barn for ~20yrs.
All glass intact.
Running/driving car, but needs far too much work (entire floorpan full of holes, etc). to keep.

Might wait until spring for the bigger things, but thought I'd get a head start on some of the smaller things if I have them.

Will provide pictures of specific things if requested.

It does have disk brakes.
Although they would probably be the last things I'd sell, as I still need to move it around now & then, and don't have anything else to put on it.

The horn pad is good.

turn bezel

I need a turn/cornering light bezel/assembly for the left side. It isn't in the grill. it's in the fender. It is a combination turn signal (amber?) and turning/cornering light (clear). sdcarguy

If you have or can get some Chevy 1/2 ton 5 lug wheels they will bolt right on. That is what I have on my Toro right now. Sold the wheels to a guy on this site from Sweden.

I found the wiring harness, but not the bezels or housings. I might not even have gotten them with the car.
(Everything was off the car when I got it, previous owner was going to prep it for paint before he abandoned it)

Do you have the drivers side mirror, and which one is it?

I can't find them at this time. The garage is pretty packed in for winter, storing other things and all.
I'll keep looking when I get time.

The front bezel I need is pretty easy to spot. If the hole in the fender is around 16 inches long, I'll wait for the spring thaw. If it's only about 7 inches. you don't have one. Thanks for your help.

I'm not following this at all. 68-69 Toronado cornering lamps are incorporated into the side marker section of the parking lamp assemblies- the bumper wraparound section. You'll find both the side marker and cornering lamp sockets in the wraparound section. It is not in the fender at all; if you have such someone has put a 1970 marker and cornering lamp on your car.

Believe me, I've had the ones on my 69 apart enough to know. I had to take them apart and rebuild them due to bad springs and socket corrosion.

Well, thank you for that information. I was under the impression that the 69 and 70 were the same. No wonder I haven't been able to locate one. I'll leave this guy alone and go bother someone new.

Yes, do you know how long they are exactly?
I have all the chrome bundled together, unsure what is what.

Would you have the courtesy light lenses above rear back seat, the trunk light that mounts on the inside of the trunk, the dash gauges? Thanks, Jim

1. No courtesy lens.
2. No trunk light.
3. I have two sets of dash gauges!
They both look nice, nothing broken.

(Cluster 1, still in car)

(Second cluster)

Can you get into the trunk? I am looking for the small zig zag shaped bracket for the jack hold-down. It should be on the drivers side of the trunk and is held down by a wing nut.

Does it have the hubcaps? I could use all 4. I also need the door switches for the power locks and windows. I need the plug for the drivers side door lock as well.

Any of these would be appreciated.

I have two 69 toronados and I never want to get rid if them. I need lots of parts. Window switches/panel, gauge panel/ cluster, hood, front fender/fender chrome, I would love to get a whole car. Can you list how much you want for the parts or for every thing you have? Or anybody with a whole parts car or cheap car. I paid 1800 for the one I drive now renting a dolly and truck cost me another 1500 after milage. And then I had to rebuild the motor, but the car came with two motors and a complete drive system I am in macon georgia area now. But I wish to keep my toronados going and hopefully pass them down(I'm only 39) . This is important americana to me. I can be reached at callclark@hotmail.com thank you in advance. The hood is the most important thing right now. If I violated any rules of this forum just let me know and I'll edit it to confirm to rules.
