67 C/S 330 2 speed trans swap

Hey Guys. Have a '67 C/S 330 4 barrel, 2 speed console trans. I want to go with a turbo 350 transmission. Has anyone done this? What kind of troubles did you have?
What kind of tinkering did you have to do, if at all with the electrical wiring to it?

Thanks Brian

Pretty simple swap, you'll need a new torque converter, and a kick down cable and bracket also. The shifter linkage will work and I believe a new shift indicator is available.

Shiftworks has a package to convert the factory 2 speed floor shifter to a 3 or 4 speed setup:

I think you can use the original 2 speed parts, you just won't have the ability to manually shift to 1st gear. Drive and 2nd will now be where Drive and Low used to be.

As noted, this is as close to a bolt-in swap as you will find. The crossmember stays in the same place, the e-brake cables do not need to be changed, and your old driveshaft works just fine. Trans cooler lines mate up with minor bending. Fleplate on the engine remains the same.

Unlike the Jetaway, the TH350 uses a cable kickdown. The 68-72 A-body cars ran this cable through the firewall to a tab on the acclerator pedal. Unfortunately, the pedal on the 64-67 cars will not accommodate this, so you'll likely need to use an aftermarket cable and bracket that run to the carb.
