68 Cutlass linkage

Does anybody know if the shifter cable bracket on the transmission for 68 turbo 400 in a 442 is a one year only bracket? I'm having trouble hooking uo a floor shift cable and the distances just aren't working for me.

Anybody have a picture of it. The trans I put in my car is an original floor shift but my car was a column shift. The pan has damage that has been fixed on the left front corner......just in front of the linkage bracket. I am wondering if someone hit something and the bracket was bent so they replaced it. My motor and trans are not original to the car but are a married set up from a 1968 442 that I bought from a guy who was doing an LS swap. The trans is an OG turbo 400.
