Jetaway to TH350 swap help

Ok gang, little help. Even though my getaway is rebuilt And perfect, I think I'm craving an extra gear. I know the TH350 swaps no problem but what about kick down linkage? Right now mine runs by wire to a switch on my gas pedal that doesn't work anyways. Doesn't the th350 use linkage? Also any help with finding one decent price? Know of any for sale? Thanks!

Yes, the T350 uses a kickdown cable. There are a great many ways to aquire one, you can go rebuilt and have it delivered to your front door from Summit, Jeggs, or a multitude of performance trans builders. Or you can get a core and find a local builder, or purchase a known used 1 and throw it in. It has to be a BOP trans.

Factory cable goes through the firewall and connects to the gas pedal, but yours will not have the hook. You can swap from a TH350 car. Can also run a generic kickdown cable to the carb, easy if you have an aftermarket carb.

I did exactly this swap on a 68 F-85 years ago. We used the kickdown cable and pedal from a TH350 car and cut the hole in the firewall. You can also get the cable and carb bracket from a mid-1970s car, but your carb may not have the provision for cable attachment.
