Speedo cable

Hi I'm a new guy with a question I have a 67 delmont with a speedo running off the front wheel my trans must have been replaced because it has a spot for a cable to connect to Can I run a new cable from the trans to the speedo or is there anything else that has to be done .

Hi Mybaby67: I believe you can just run the cable from your replacement transmission to you speedometer. I hope the transmission has a long tail-stock like the one that you are replacing.

You will need to get the correct speedo gears for the trans to match the calibration of your speedo as well as the rear axle ratio and tire diameter.
