Transmission Tunnel Reshape

I need to increase the height of my trans tunnel for a 70 442 to ensure clearance of the driveshaft knuckle. Does anyone know of an aftermarket source for the new top of the tunnel or is purely a fabrication piece? Any help would be appreciated.

I modified my crossmember to better clear the trans yoke, after installing my 5 speed.
Are you swapping transmissions?

trans tunnel hump

Guys:
In need the same thing to finish the floor in my 66 Cutlass, someone chopped up the hump years ago. I would rather use a new part rather than drag the generator to the salvage yard and cut out a donor piece, there is a yard that has 3 of them but they don't remove parts for you from vintage cars, you gotta do it yourself.
Thanks Ron

I think the only new tunnel would be part of a repro floor. Sounds like a job for a battery powered sawzall

Not changing trans but since I bought it I've had issues with the drive shaft hitting the tunnel going over bumps, hard acceleration, etc. I fixed most of it with new springs and shocks but it will still hit with a couple people in the car or when getting into it. The PO has the tunnel pretty chopped up as it went from an auto to 4-speed. I figured I would cut the top off, build a reshaped tunnel just slightly higher than it is now but enough to give good clearance, then weld or rivet it back on.
The lower profile is great, with nothing below the exhaust pipes, afraid if I modify the trans crossmember it will stick out too low.

X2 on the trans mount and also check motor mounts and body bushings.

Check manual, trans mount height for four speed shorter or could it be length of driveshaft causing noise.
