What Transmission is This?

Any help identifying this transmission? It came with a bunch of other Olds parts when I bought my '70 Cutlass, a lot of the parts were '68 or 69 442. Vin derivative is hard to make out, but looks like 8M3311149

In 1968 you could still get a 2 speed just like used in the previous years. That looks like what you have. They've got a distinctive shaped oil pan. John

John is correct. That's the two speed Super Turbine 300, aka Jetaway in an Oldsmobile. They were the only automatic available in the F85 and Cutlass lines in 1968 (the TH400 was only used behind the 400 in the 442 and Vista Cruiser that year).

It makes sense the way it looks, like an older TH trans variant. Newer designs just look...newer.
