Will a 67 Jetway tranny fit on a 1969 455?

Will a 1967 Cutlass jetway transmission bolt up to a 1969 455? Got a friend who's curious in getting a 455 for his Cutlass & it has a stock jetway. Thanks for any info.

Yes it will bolt up just fine.
If you plan on using the Switch Pitch you'll have to rig up something to make it work or it will be in low stall at all times.

If your Jetaway is a switch pitch you must use its torque converter also. You can rig a manual switch setup for the switch pitch also, and use a T400 kiskdown switch set up.

I think the friend wants to put the 455 in a 67.

If the 67 in question is a Jetaway car, the throttle switch should already be there and can still be used with the 455. Might have to tweak the adjustment a little bit.

Well they had both, the B bodies got the Turbo 400 for the most part if BB equipped. Cutlass/F85 got the 2 speed Jetaway and the 442/TP cruiser the short shaft turbo 400
