1940's 1950's shop patch panels, Schofield Mfg
I just came from a barn full of car parts where I was able to pull a number of 40's-50's aftermarket Olds steel patch panels from the piles of parts. These all seem to be manufactured by the Schofield Manufacturing Co of Cleveland, OH, and most panels are marked for their use. They are all covered with surface rust and a good layer of barn filth, which I will start to clean off tomorrow. I am completely unfamiliar with this era of Olds, and I'm not sure what panels are made today, if any. Mostly, I'd like to know if these panels would have any value to anyone, as they are not full fenders, quarters, etc - just patches - and they are an aftermarket brand that I'm not familiar with at all. There are two doors that have never been mounted - metal shells - and two that have lock mechanisms and glass installed as well. There are many smaller panels such as the bottom corners of a door opening that I will sort through and try to identify. Most of these seem to be mid to late 50's. Let me know if these are something that could be used - I will not have a use for any of these myself. Thanks!
Pictures from my cell phone - small parts I have on hand. Doors are still at the barn. Many of the panels are multiples, from 2 or 3 to 5 or more of each. In many cases there are matched pairs, left and right sides.
