55 olds 98 passenger side air box removal

What holds the out side box on after screws are removed. Is there something inside holding it also.

the "outside air box" is held on by an awful stuff known as "goop" for lack of a more technical term. You will have to gingerly pry that off and It will not be easy. The more important question is "why do you want to remove it"?

Use a heat gun to soften up the goop. They are sometimes a bitch to get off around the radiator core from inside the interior air box some times needs to be heated up to get to the goop it gets like cement after a half a century or more....Tedd
