Very nice article in weekly 'Hagerty News' email 'Our favorite hood ornaments from the 40's and 50's. As you scroll down, Oldsmobile 'Rocket' is mentioned along with very good article to click on evolution of 'OHV Rocket V-8'.

Good article. I was disappointed they left out the 54 Olds.

Yes, not mentioned in the article, but Rocket on the 53 (green hood) looks like the same on my 54. If they are the same, then I wouldn't be disappointed.
