Rear Leaf Spring - U Bolt Size 1951-56

I am coming up with 1/2" x 3.25" x 7", but they are still on the car. The 3.25" inside diameter measurement is the most unknown one, I can tell they are 1/2 diameter bolts.
Thanks for any help.

Once you determine what you need, Plattsburgh Spring in New York is very reasonable for custom made u-bolts

Sorry, I can't come up with a micrometer that opens wide enough. But using a tape measure it looks like your 3.25 is correct. I'd be willing to send you a used one or the metal plate if you cover the shipping costs. Then you could have a loose one to measure. John

Measure the diameter of the axle tube near U-bolts.

I'm not sure what your time frame is for this but some point this winter i will be having some made at Plattsburgh spring for my 55 as Flemming442 had suggested, i live about 20 minutes from there.

I would happily ship them if you can wait a few weeks.

Fusick also has them available on their website.

Yes, I did measure the axle tube, it's 3.25, so there you have it. Thanks everyone, decided to go with General Spring in Kansas. Each U Bolt with washers and nuts - 10 bucks.

Once I got the old U Bolts side by side, 7" length is about a 1/2" short. I made it work with 7" length, but the real size is: 1/2" x 3.25" x 7.5" .
