Where do these wires go? - Installing New Wiring Harness - '55 88
My harness grounded out the hot gen wire to a body clip, burned it. I am replacing with the correct factory harness. Finding a couple items not right from the past. The 2 wires (orange/white) pictured where hanging out down by the master cylinder. I ohm'd them out, the are going to the brake switch. I must be going mad, thanks for any help.

The question would be if either manual or auto trans both have the provision for either brake options. That would seem more likely....making more sense now if I can confirm this.

Manual brakes, non vacuum assisted, not manual vs automatic transmission. My parts 88 has manual brakes, are they barrel connectors? The brake switch is screwed directly to the underside of the removeable floor, on power brake cars its inside the car at the top of the brake pedal hinge area, i guess its possible that both styles exist on the same harness?
