Stock Vista Cruiser Rims
Good morning everyone.
I just got rid of my 70 Vista Cruiser. It had SSII wheels on it and also the original steel rims inside. Question. Are the original steel wheels really any big deal? The parts book calls out a different wheel than the car, I assume it's heavier duty. The guy that has the car now said he'd give me back the wheels since he was going to do some aftermarket wheel.
Apparently they aren't heavy duty enough to make a difference, since most/all Vista Cruisers have rally wheels on them now, and I've never heard of a failure due to the wheels weakening.
I'm going to get the wheels back regardless but I wonder if it's worth the effort to keep them "Vista Cruiser wheels" or just add them to my stash of 14" wheels.
Thanks everyone.

They might as well have been, since most ended up with them anyway. But my question, are they special enough to keep separate from my regular 14" wheels or does it really matter? How much more heavy duty were they?
