Heater quit working

I have a '69 442 with 400 engine and A/C. Following the last trip to my mechanic, I found these two wires disconnected and my heater doesn't work. Anyone know if the wires are part of the heater assembly operation? All the vacuum hoses seem to still be in place.

If the heater stopped working after it was at the garage, then take it back to the garage and have them fix what they broke.

Found the vacuum tube to the heater valve had split. brittle due to age. Fixed that so heater works fine. Still wonder what the two discnnected wires go to but does not appear to affect the heater operation I'll worry about that some other time
