394 valve springs

Anyone know a source and part number for a valve spring retainer for a 62 394 that has behive style springs

If you're having the heads rebuilt your machinist might be able to source them for you. If not, you can always get some parts from these specialty salvage yards.

FWIW, when I owned my 64 98 it developed a valve train tick. As I recall, I found some pushrods and rocker arms from a 371 that I used in my 394.

The factory part number for these was 572861.
Book says that they fit all Olds 58 thru 64 except F-85.
