Trim removal on '72 98

Hi all. Can someone give me guidance on removing the horizontal chrom trim on the door; and how to repair the final mounting point that holds/supports the trim at the edge of the door? Also, how to remove the ...lower rocker cover just in front of rear wheel (see pics)?

In your second picture you can see the anchor for the door trim in the middle of the door. The anchors slide onto a stud that's welded to the door skin. The stainless trim snaps onto the anchors. You can get new anchors that aren't so worn out. Make sure you bend that trim back into place before reinstalling it.

Any chance you have a name or part number or image of what these "anchors" look like so I can go buy some? Thank you.

Unfortunately, reproduction clips/anchors sometimes don't work. Make sure you remove the trim per the Chassis/Factory Service Manuals and match the clips/anchors up to the ones you need. CSM/FSM are pretty necessary for this task because you might damage the trim if you remove it the wrong way (ask me how I know).

Here's a good supplier.
