Brakes for a 1955 88

OK guys I am in need of direction. I have finally got the brakes taken care of but I was reading some other threads and looking for a inexpensive front drum to disc conversion. It is for a 1955 88 with manual brakes. Any ideas would be helpfull.

Inexpensive and Oldsmobile are two words that dont belong in the same sentence. Why dont you opt for a power brake boost off another '55 and convert your manual to power brakes?

Thee isn't a inexpensive way to do a disc brake swap. I di a disc brake swap on my 57 Olds, first the fron then the rear using the Scarebird kits. You need to go to a dual master cylinder wihich opens up a whole new can of worms because nobody makes one for the under floor mount system your Olds uses. Your have to do fab work on the firewall and convert to a new firewall mounted booster and swingiing pedal. I agree with 59-59-59 if you want to keep it low cost. I would guess I have around $800 to $900 in my conversion

Doesn't Wilwood make a remote reservoir dual master cylinder. I currently have the single on my 51 Super88 and planned on switching to the dual.
