Thumbs up disc brake conversion question on 1965 olds cutlass rear questions

I recently picked up a 1965 oldsmobile cutlass rear. 10 bolt limited slip rear. I picked up the rebuild kit for it and the yoke and bearings.

my question is I was looking at brake options and found this post on pontiacs side and also on a chevelle site.

basically the setup uses rear disc brakes off of a 1998-2003 s10/blazer. I've picked up the plate that bolt to axle tubes but I'm afraid to move forward in case I can't use them on this rear. Any infor would be great, thanks.
