This may sound stupid, but could some one explain it? I usually have to get my 12 yr old son or wife (not telling her age) to help... you can guess the fun in that. LOL

No, it's not stupid 74Omega I just heard of this myself and it sounded like a good way of not having the wife come out and "help" me. We all know how that turns out sometimes. I googled it. I'm really not good at explaining things that I just found out about myself. Maybe some Olds Guru can enlighten both of us. Tom.

I use my Mityvac with the brake bleeder attachment, can do it by yourself and it's fast.

So vacuum or pressure bleeding is still probably a good idea anyway to really make sure the air bubbles and water-contaminated brake fluid is out? What fluid do you guys use? This is for a '76 Cutlass by the way. DOT 3,4,5?

I never liked using the Mit-y-vac bleeders or the gravity bleeding method. It never seems to work as well as the old fashioned way. The only problem is that you need a buddy to help.

My brother turned me on to this...take the cap off of the master cylinder, make sure it is full and stays that way and crack the bleeders (one or all depending on the mess you want to make) open and let it run...thats it. Then close them in any order.

Thanks for all replies. I think I'm going to gravity bleed, then vacuum to make sure. Since the car is on jack stands already as I'm changing the 2.41 open to a 3.73 posi. that was custom built for me by monzaz here.

I hook up small plastic hoses, and put the end in a small can, that way you have no mess.
