Free Car
1980 Oldsmobile Delta 88 4 Door
307 motor
97000 miles.
This thing is beat.
both quarters bad.
front floor pans bad,
Left rear frame rail rotted out
Bumpers bent.
Grilles cracked, but still hanging on.
2 different taillights
no door locks or trunk lock
Steering column loose.
Machine screw for a turn signal lever.
No parking brake.
Front pan seal and valve covers leaking.
Needs a new Fuel line....3 feet of rubber on it right now.
!!!!!!!!!!!STREET LEGAL! Amazingly enough.
Good tires, all lights function correctly.
If you need a winter beater, this is it.
Runs like a champ.
If no one on here wants it, (which they probably wont)
I'm going to try and find a farm to give it to. It would be great for hauling crates of apples, or filling the trunk full of pumpkins or seed for the animals. Heck I'll even paint it up like Buddy Baker's gray ghost so the kids will enjoy it too.
Problem is.....
Where the heck is a farm around me anymore. In the last 10 years
All of our corn fields here have been plowed down and made into 5 bedroom brick houses for 2 people and a dog to live in.
Please help me find a good retirement home for this ol girl. It's beat, no one will want it for the motor, BUT... it has 100000 miles of American service left in it. I can't just throw that into a scrap pile.

It's an Oldsmobile. She'll run for another 100,000, and pretty soon you'll start repairing her with duct tape, and she'll keep going.

This is no joke, ask olds64 the condition of his car when we found it and what it was being used for! Seriously.

Here's some pics
I got this thing like this for 200 bucks 9 years ago.
It was used as a tool/ air compressor mule for my good friend's roofing business for a few years when he was first getting rolling. Now he has 8 Employees and 5 trucks, and doesn't really have a use for my car anymore. This thing obviously doesn't have a "professional" image about it. Especially when it leaves an ounce or 2 of oil on the customer's driveway.

SOLD!!
Good luck with the car fellas, glad to see it go to some Olds guys.
Remember..... try and work out a good deal with Jerry's Valley Auto. That guy is closing up shop by Christmas and will be crushing a near mint delta just like that one. (White color too)
Let me know if you do, or plan to. I'll throw some money in the pot for it as well. I could use EVERYTHING on it except the hood, trunk lid, and doors. Hopefully he'll let the whole car go for 150 bucks and we can dissect it before the deep freeze.

Yeah, those 4 doors from 80-85 they probably made 100,000 a year. I think they used them for taxis a lot on the east coast.
If there's any nice 2 door Deltas down by you, let me know how far you are from Chicago. I'll come kidnap your Cutlass and the neighborhood Deltas.
