Has anyone used Pirateship.com?

Has anyone here used Pirateship.com? If so did you have a good or bad experience with them? I'm trying to ship a fender from Oregon to Pennsylvania and the potential buyer suggested using them. The estimated shipping is about 45% of what it would cost on the UPS website. If I understand it right, I would arrange the shipping through the Pirateship.com web site yet still drop off the package with UPS. John

My wife uses it for all her shipping and she's never had a problem with it

Perhaps on the heavier stuff as 2blu442 states there is savings, but on the lighter stuff, I found Pirateship.com rates identical to Shipstation. But it's good to know about Pirateship.com.

I haven't tried shipstation, but pirateship is providing a lower price than my accounts with FedEx, UPS and USPS. I'm shipping out a couple small packages today and they still came in a couple bucks lower than what I had been paying. If anyone hasn't tried one of these sites I'd encourage you to. John

Shippo

Another one that is out there, apparently is "Shippo" Frankly don't know much about them. The cost of shipping medium sized items (that don't fit in the Flat Rate boxes} has now also gotten ridiculous. Not sure how these "third party" shippers operate, or make a profit, by piggybacking on the operations of the common carriers.
