Black Front Light Bezels, good or bad look?

I'm not quite sure what to think of the black bezels instead of the standard silver / chrome. What is the overall opinion? This car is gorgeous overall though. Looks mean.

More pictures of the car here. Its for sale on craigslist, no price.

I have the black bezels (& grille) and I do think it gives a meaner, sportier look.
The chrome ones (and grille) adds a more classy look.
However, I think the grilles should match the bezels.
That car in the picture looks nice!

when I had my 72 Supreme, I blacked out the grille, headlight trim and the taillight trim (the one in my sig), I thought it looked great. It would look good on a 70 442 as well, I just can't get myself to do it to an original car though.

Yes, I think it looks better black
I would personally suggest also doing the trim pieces AROUND your grills too.

This is referred to as "Murdered Out" in modification category.
When you change your chrome and trim pieces to black.

Most cases the entire vehicle is black. But you get the idea.

I didn't know that. You learn something new every day! I did it once on a '71 Cutlass S I had years and years ago.

Just looked at my 72 cutlass and the headlight bezels have a silver line painted around the outside edge and down the middle, separating the 2 headlights.

I like the blacked out idea, would look even better if the bezels had a thin strip of chrome around the outter edge showing.
