Hey guys. 68 Cutlass. Protecto plate says SB. 2.78 posi if I'm correct. 12 bolt cover. Wanna know if carrier candle handle 3.23's and if so where should I get them. Would have them installed by a friend. Don't wanna go nuts with different rears and stuff. Just want more low end around town. All help appreciated!!

Bad choice right now in rears. ALL the gears are OUT OF STOCK from Richmond because they were bought out by Motive gear brand.

WE do not know when they will reproduce these gears again.???

3.23 gears are one of the most wanted gears in this rear. I have 6 people in line waiting for them.

Gear ratios breaks for this rear are

2.56 2.78 2 series
3.08 3.23 3 series (will also fit 3.42 3.90 4.10 Richmond aftermarket gears)
3.42 3.90 4.33 4.66 5.00 4 series

If you make a custom spacer plate you can use the 2 series posi and find a set of 3.23 YES IT CAN WORK. Jim

Not sure if the guy was telling me the truth or not but When I called to ask about the gears from motive gear brand he said that they will have the gears for our rear in October of this year

I am in this business... RARELY do they ever get dates correct.

They've been saying May 2013,but since that date is getting closer,they are changing the date.
