Rear Diff Swap Options
Anyone swap out the rear end for a ‘63 f-85, or change the gearing/axles? Looking for a way to get posi. It came with a Chevy 350 and turbo 350 trans already swapped in it so the one legger ain’t cutting it haha.

The rear axle is unique to the 1961-63 F85/Cutlass and Buick Special/Skylark. NOTHING interchanges without building a custom housing, and internal parts are unobtanium.

Yes. They are nearly impossible to find and priced accordingly when you do. Keep in mind that this is still something like a 6.5" ring gear. It's a tiny axle. Spend the money, have a custom housing built.

Ok so it sounds like the only option is fabbing in a rear end from something else?
fitting the drive shaft would be an easy adjustment
