Headliner way too short

I managed to snag a headliner for my 85 Delta 88. I pulled it out of a 85 Caprice and somebody was nice enough to have already busted out the rear window so it was easy to remove from the car.

I install it out front of the junkyard and at first I was surprised how easy it was to get the headliner in place. Then I realized why, it's about 9-12 inches too short

So where I'm happy to have a headliner in place (although it's the brown foam right now) I'm a little upset that it's too short. I was going to have somebody install a new headliner for me, but do you think it's possible that a shop can extend the headliner board and make it the correct length as well as re-fab it?

No, width wise it fits.

I have it all the way up in the front where the visors go in at and the visors are in place, but it doesn't go all the way back the the rear window

Nothing I can think of as far as fabrication.......Why not just get a headliner out of a 80-85 delta 88 or regency 98?

The 98's cab is larger than the 88, and it seems that 80-85 Deltas are coming up short in the junkyards. Haven't seen one in about 2 years

I see they are pretty plentiful in TX yards.

I agree with Redog. I'm in North Jersey and delta 88's are very hard to come by in the yards. As are most old cars up this way. My theory is the masses got rid of the older cars sooner than the southern warmer, dry states. By now most of these junked cars have been stripped and crushed. So we have to be lucky to find a survivor at the yard or a rare one that has been recently junked and still intact with usable parts

Theres a junkyard in tablenacle that has lots of deltas like 5 of them. Last time i was there they still had them almost complete. They been there for years. The places name is friendship auto but dont be fooled by the name they prices are not friendly. But im sure they would have a headliner. Dont know what they would try to charge you.

To give you an idea on price, they charged me 65 dollars for a delta 88 2 piece grille
